You will engage in ongoing conversations about social issues in film, challenges and opportunities in art, experience and consciousness in history, and the power of language. This type of humanistic inquiry will allow you to uncover the many insights that draw from the topics in this course, and more importantly to reflect on the fundamental question: Why does humanities matter?
The questioning, humanising, connecting approach introduced in this course will allow you to see how problems we face in today’s increasingly complex world, can be solved from a humanistic perspective, with Humanities in Focus.

The hybrid course guides teams of educators in the collaborative development of a multidimensional, educative rubric for a science performance assessment following SNAP’s principled design process. Participants also learn how to use their rubric as part of efficient, responsive, and equitable instructional practices for supporting all students' progress toward 3-dimensional reasoning.
Using coaching approaches in your educational conversations will help you support learners to really maximise their potential, as you become an even more effective and inspiring educator. Over these next four modules, you will become much more familiar with some key coaching principles and skills, and will be equipped to start applying these in your own educational contexts.
In five weeks, we explore some of the major challenges, approaches and strategies for addressing pressing, complex socio-environmental issues in the classroom, using critical action as a pedagogical perspective. Optionally, you will be able to collaborate with peers from around the world to design actual critical action curriculum.
