Product Management Fundamentals for the Real Economy

NOTE: CEE250 is offered as a graduate course for credit once a year. If you want to start now, our newest professional education course, Product Management: Transforming Opportunities into Great Products, based on the content of CEE250 and given by the same instructors, is available for enrollment on demand. Note that professional education courses are not for academic credit.
This hands-on course is an overview of Product Management as a discipline. As a Product Manager (PM), you are responsible for defining what problems to solve, discovering what products should solve those problems, leading teams to execute on the solution, launching, and iterating.
This course takes a project-based approach. You will run through one full iteration of the product lifecycle. We focus on practical skills and how this works in real life over theoretical frameworks. Guest speakers from major companies will provide feedback and exposure to industry leading insights.
No prior knowledge of product management, computer science, design, or needfinding is required. This course will help any student who is interested in learning more about product management, including those who may not want to be product managers. We will focus on general problem solving skills and attempt to focus not only on software but on product management as a general craft.
The course schedule is displayed for planning purposes – courses can be modified, changed, or cancelled. Course availability will be considered finalized on the first day of open enrollment. For quarterly enrollment dates, please refer to our graduate education section.
