Introduction to Product Management

Description

Overview

Cool products may create excitement when released, but sometimes they fail to sustain success in the marketplace. Remember the Pebble Smartwatch? Neither does anyone else. Despite shipping over 1 million orders in 2012, they filed for insolvency in 2015. You obviously remember the Apple Watch, though. It was the cool product of 2015, shipping over 4 million orders. While the Apple Watch is a good product, only time will tell if it will make the leap to become a great product, disrupting the market and changing how we live.

This course will use case studies to examine how products are disrupting the market. We’ll explore the strategic and dynamic role a product manager plays in evolving a product from cool to good to great.
