Computational Thinking in Teaching and Learning

We are now presenting this course virtually. The format will include synchronous and asynchronous work, meaning there will be sessions where all participants are expected to work together online and there will be follow up work done offline. Here is the online schedule:
The San Mateo County Office Education and the Center to Support Excellence in Teaching (CSET) at Stanford GSE will facilitate a professional learning experience in which practitioners will explore how (and why) they can support students engagement with computational thinking practices through interdisciplinary means. The workshop series consists of three virtual synchronous sessions, with asynchronous activities in between. Together, practitioners will deepen their content knowledge of computational thinking and hone their pedagogical expertise in collaboration with other county educators and CSET professional development coaches. In addition, each registered participant will be mailed a kit of materials that will support the tinkering and exploring we will do together virtually.
Who should enroll?
We believe learning and implementation is best done in teams, so we encourage practitioners to register with content, grade level, or admin team members. However, individuals can fully participate in the PLE.
