Behaviorally Informed Design for Energy Conservation

Course Description
Changing the behavior and practices of energy users can be just as important as finding new sources of energy. It requires an understanding of community-based social marketing, psychology and behavioral economics for successful public action and support.
This course covers strategies for designing and implementing effective behavior change programs that promote environmental sustainability. It is geared towards learners that want to venture outside of technology for a more holistic viewpoint on energy and sustainability.
This course is approximately 5 hours of video content with 2 hours of coursework.
By completing this course, you’ll earn 0.5 Continuing Education Unit (CEU). CEUs cannot be applied toward any Stanford degree. CEU transferability is subject to the receiving institution’s policies.
