Sex, Sexuality and Gender: The Transition to Adulthood | Harvard University

Sex, Sexuality and Gender: The Transition to Adulthood | Harvard University

In recent years there has been increasing attention paid to issues of sexuality and gender in the treatment of patients across the age and developmental spectrum. Adulthood is an expansive phase and not one single kind of experience; it is a series of trials and opportunities, stability and perhaps instability as individuals progress through milestones and experience changes at different rates. Notions of gender and sexual desire may shift when the rest of life may be settling down. What are the changes that occur and how does a person's sensuality, sexuality, sexual and gender identities affect their experience of these life milestones?

This series is designed to fill training gaps for all mental health disciplines, and for those who specifically treat adults in midlife. Join us for valuable and practical insights, lively discussions, and plenty of time each week devoted to answering audience questions.

This is an accredited, livestreamed course offered by Cambridge Health Alliance. This course is targeted to Primary Care Physicians, Specialty Physicians, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, and Family Therapists.
